Blueberries are one of my favorites fruits to add to smoothies. They’re sweet and delicious. This blueberry almond smoothie, which has a spoonful of almond butter in it, is so good.
This smoothie is absolutely delicious, and perfect for spring.
I love the flavor combination of blueberries and almonds. I got the idea for this smoothie when I added pure almond extract to my oatmeal and topped it with blueberries and almond butter. It was perfection.
I kept my smoothie very simple with just a few ingredients, but lots of almond flavor. I added a frozen banana to add some sweetness and creaminess to the smoothie, but you can’t taste the banana flavor. The blueberries and almond really shine through.
I typically use almond milk in my smoothies because I prefer the flavor of almond milk, but you could use dairy milk or your favorite milk in this smoothie.
