I love having a special cocktail during the holidays. But when I’m already indulging in holiday appetizers, desserts and dinners, I don’t want my cocktail to be a total colorie bomb.
Luckily, I’ve created lots of delicious cocktails that are lower in cals than many traditional holiday cocktails (egg nog, buttered rum, etc.). Obviously there’s nothing “healthy” about cocktails, but I like to be able to have a couple of cocktails without feeling like I went totally overboard.
Try some of these delicious, lower calorie cocktails…

Boozy Peppermint Hot Chocolate
Find my recipe on Her View from Home.
The options for spiking coffee are endless. Here are a few healthified versions…
Irish Coffee – Instead of using half n’ half, add a splash of almond milk. Coffee + whiskey + almond milk.
Peppermint Mocha – Add some peppermint schnapps and cocoa powder to some strong hot coffee.
Spiced Coffee – Add cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger and cloves to your coffee grounds before brewing. Spike with brandy or bourbon.
Kahlua Spiked Coffee – Add a few shots of Kahlua to your coffee to create a creamy boozy coffee. Kahlua has a bunch of seasonal flavors like peppermint and cinnamon. Mmmmmm…
What will you be drinking during the holidays?
