If you’re feeling under the weather or sensing an illness coming on, make this smoothie to give your immunity a boost.
I know cold and flu season is on its way out, but I came down with a stomach virus and I’ve been completely out of it.
In addition to experiencing stomach issues (to put it lightly), I’ve had severe body aches, fatigue, headaches, and nausea. During the first 24 hours of my sickness, I didn’t do a great job of taking care of myself. I was so achey and tired, I could barely move. But I knew my body needed some nourishment in order to get better.
Luckily, the fiancé took care of me and made me chicken noodle soup and brought me water mixed with electrolytes.
After the first day of my sickness, I realized that a pain reliever helped give me some respite from my body aches. Which allowed me to get up and move a little more. In addition to drinking my Minerals & Antioxidants – for electrolytes and antioxidants – I made this immune boosting smoothie to give my body some nourishment and help speed up my recovery.
Orange Juice – Vitamin C has antioxidants that protect your cells.
Coconut Water – Natural source of electrolytes and contains antioxidants.
Greens Blend – Antioxidants with chlorella, spirulina, wheat grass, beet root, and adaptogenic mushrooms.
Lemon – Vitamin C.
Spinach – Vitamin K, A, manganese, folate, magnesium, and iron.
Banana – Potassium, calcium, manganese, magnesium, iron, and B6.
