Can you believe that we’re halfway through 2016?!?!
This year has flown by! Because we’re at the halfway mark, I thought this would be a good time to check in with myself and my goals for the year.

At the beginning of the year, I decided that I wanted to create peacefulness and joy throughout the year. Stress, overwhelm and having sky high expectations for myself was a big issue for me last year.
If you’re a regular reader, than you know that I still struggle with stress and overwhelm. Read about it here. But I’ve been working on checking in with myself more often and taking a break when I’m too overwhelmed. That’s a big improvement from last year!
My mantra for 2016 has been – “I am doing all that I can in this moment.” I’ve definitely used that mantra to be a bit easier on myself.
My Goals for 2016….
Yoga, yoga, yoga. I felt like yoga was something I needed more of this year, and I wanted to commit to doing more yoga. Well…I started yoga teacher training in May! It’s really helping me strengthen my practice and learn so much more about yoga.
Start adulting with my finances. I’m working on this one daily. I participated in Danny J’s Find the Money Project, I started a new side gig representing a nutrition supplement company to increase my income and I have a ‘get out of debt’ plan. I need to work on the shopping!
Commit to radical self-care. I’ve become more and more mindful of what my body, mind and spirit need. I recently took a break from working out because I felt burned out and uninspired. It was just what I needed. I visited a functional medicine doctor to figure out some health issues. I’ve been taking more time to relax and rejuvenate.
