- 1 bottle red wine (medium bodied)
- 1 tablespoon whole cloves
- 3 cinnamon sticks
- 3 star anise
- 1 whole nutmeg, cracked into a few pieces
- 2 tablespoons honey
- orange slices for garnish
- Pour wine into a saucepan with cloves, cinnamon sticks, star anise and nutmeg.
- Heat on low until steaming, about 15 minutes.
- Add honey.
- Pour through a fine mesh strainer and serve in heat-resistant glasses with 2 orange slices.
