Homemade pesto is such a fresh and delicious addition to pasta dishes, sandwiches and wraps, and more!
- 2 cups fresh basil
- 1/3 cup pine nuts
- 2 garlic cloves
- ½ cup olive oil
- ½ cup Parmesan cheese
- salt and pepper, to taste
- Combine basil and pine nuts in a food processor. Add garlic cloves and pulse.
- Add olive oil in a stream while food processor is turned on. Then add Parmesan and salt and pepper.
- Spray an ice cube tray with olive oil or nonstick cooking spray. Transfer pesto to ice cube tray and freeze.
