This delicious vanilla latte is perfect for cold winter months. It’s full of anti-inflammatory properties and good-for-you plant protein.
I’ve been really into turmeric for awhile now because of it’s anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties.
I love adding it to my scrambled eggs, soups and stews, and even smoothies. But a turmeric latte, also known as a golden milk latte, is such a comforting winter drink.
Turmeric contains more than two dozen anti-inflammatory compounds and it’s anti-microbial. Turmeric is traditionally used in Ayurvedic medicine for wound healing, skin issues, digestive issues, joint pain and more. The coconut milk is rich in antioxidants, nutrients and healthy fat.
I added my favorite plant protein powder to this latte to give it a protein boost and add some vanilla flavor. I only use this plant protein powder because it’s made with minimal ingredients, doesn’t contain any artificial ingredients, and doesn’t have any added sugar. It also mixes well in smoothies, oatmeal, baked goods, and lattes.
This latte is the perfect cuddle up on the couch on a cold day drink! It’s nourishing for the body and soul.
