One of my health coaching clients recently asked me if it’s ok that she wants to lose weight even though her weight doesn’t have a negative impact on her health. Should she just learn to love her body as it is?
Her question made me realize that weight loss has suddenly become out of fashion with the current body acceptance movement.
Don’t get me wrong, I love that it’s now on trend to love our bodies. We’ve always had the right to be happy regardless of our shape or size, but the media and society is finally sending that message.
It’s amazing to see women of all sizes on the cover of Women’s Running or in Modcloth and Target ads.
But how does weight loss fit into to all that.
