I’ll be real with you…working out has not been fun for me for the past year or so. I have been struggling through workouts, experiencing low energy, fatigue really quickly during workouts, lots of huffing and puffing and no progress.
This was all very apparent during half-marathon training earlier this year. My pace never improved and my runs never got easier.
For the past few months, I’ve backed off from my workouts because they just didn’t feel good. I’ve still been teaching fitness classes, doing yoga and running once or twice a week (a lot less than what I was doing before).
I thought my workout struggles were caused by my weight gain (read about it in my latest post about my health journey). But I’m guessing that working out felt terrible because of my vitamin deficiencies (also in that post). Since I’ve been on my new supplement routine, I’ve been feeling more energized, and working out is starting to feel good again!
I went for a run last week, and didn’t feel like I was going to die! That run made me feel like I’m ready to create consistency in my fitness routine again.
