I don’t think I could survive without energy balls. I’ve been making them almost every week, and snacking on them before I workout, when I have a sweet tooth or when I need an afternoon pick me up.
They are the perfect sweet snack that isn’t processed and full of junk!
While I’ve made many versions, I’ve been making these Vanilla Almond Energy Balls a lot lately. They’re similar to my Post-Workout Vanilla Protein Balls, but a bit more simple. I was inspired to simplify my recipe to make them more adaptable after I made Keri Glassman’s No-Bake Peanut Butter Protein Balls.
I like this recipe because it’s the perfect base for an energy ball. You can add whatever mix ins you would like…dried cranberries, dried blueberries, mini dark chocolate chips, chia seeds, etc.
Or you can roll the energy ball in whatever topping you like…unsweetened coconut, hemp seeds, chia seeds, etc.
You can make them your own!
