The weekend flew by as usual, but I enjoyed a nice mix of fun, relaxation and productivity.
The BF and I had very few plans going into the weekend, so it was great to just go with the flow.
Here’s a recap of my weekend…
Friday, Nov. 11
The BF and I left the house around 5 p.m. to get groceries, and we finally returned home at 9 p.m. We ended up going to Target, having dinner at El Potrero, watching the US vs. Mexico soccer game at a bar, then finally getting groceries. It was an adventurous evening ; )
Saturday, Nov. 12
Breakfast was sprouted grain toast topped with avocado and eggs cooked with turmeric.
I presented my Ultimate Smoothie Workshop at KTown Shakedown, a local fitness studio. I shared so much information including the benefits of green smoothies, superfood smoothie add ins, how to make the perfect green smoothie, the difference between whey and plant protein powder and more!
I made a pumpkin power smoothie for the attendees, and I also made a green smoothie during the workshop.
For lunch, I had a kale and spinach salad topped with a black bean burger, pepitas and a new dairy-free Caesar dressing I found at Target. It was really good!
That afternoon, the BF and I went to Kmart, which is closing soon. Everything in the store is on sale, and we scored 10 gingerbread house kits on super sale for our upcoming gingerbread house making party.
For dinner, I made homemade ramen noodles. I bought millet and brown rice ramen noodles at Costco and added stock, soy sauce, sesame oil, spinach, maitake mushrooms, carrot and garlic.
I topped mine with tofu and the BF had pork. So so good! I enjoyed a couple glasses of wine while we watched the movie Spotlight on Netflix. So so so good!
Sunday, Nov. 13
Repeat breakfast. But I had some leftover green smoothie from my workshop.
I spent the entire morning working on my Happy Healthy Holidays Guide and Accountability Program! I’m really excited for you to join this program. You get support, guidance and accountability from a health coach (me!) throughout the holiday season. It’s the perfect way to stay healthy while still enjoying some of your favorite holiday foods.
You can get the details here –>> http://bit.ly/sweetsuccessholidays
I needed a break from my computer, so I cleaned the house. Then I had leftover El Potrero for lunch. I mixed my leftover fajita vegetables with brown rice and topped it with guacamole.
While I was creating my Holiday Guide, I made a list of some holiday recipes I want to create for the blog. So the BF and I went back to the grocery store to get ingredients for my recipe creations. I’ve already made one of them!
We grabbed dinner at Flippin Sweet Burgers. We eat there so much that when we left our server said, “See you next week.” I would insert the red faced, big eyed emoji here if I could.
Have a wonderful week! (we’re almost to Thanksgiving week!!!!)
