Weekend Recap {Sept. 23-25, 2016}

How is the weekend over already? I went into the weekend without many plans, and ended up being on the go most of the weekend.

It was a fun weekend mixed with a few hours of work.

Here’s a look…

Friday, Sept. 23

After a long and exhausting week, I started my weekend with manis and pedis with my mom and niece. It was exactly what I needed.

We also stopped at Target where I bought a new makeup case, then downsized my makeup. Totally into keeping things simple lately.

Then we had dinner at Flippin Sweet Burgers. I had my usual Holly Golightly veggie burger (no gruyere).

Saturday, Sept. 24

Breakfast was scrambled eggs with kale, sprouted grain toast topped with Earth Balance, coffee and my usual supplements.

Then I was off to the homecoming parade. I had to go for work and hand out t-shirts to parade spectators.

When I got home, I made an anti-aging green drink using my favorite greens powder. You can get the greens powder here –>> bit.ly/sara-greens.

I spent the afternoon shopping with my friend Russanne. We had a wonderful time catching up. I picked up Happy Cook by Daphne Oz and a pair of leopard print heels. I didn’t buy these amazing chucks, but I was tempted.

The BF and I had plans to meet up with friends, and they wanted to have dinner at Flippin Sweet Burgers. I wasn’t in the mood for it, so I decided to change up my order. I ordered a Holly Golightly on a salmon burger! I know, getting crazy. It was so good.

I also had this interesting beer.

I intended to make it an early night, but we ended up staying out until nearly 1 a.m. It was a fun night, but the night was way too long.

Sunday, Sept. 25

Since I had more than my two drink limit, I woke up with a headache. So I rehydrated with my minerals and antioxidants drink. I had the same breakfast as Saturday.

Then I had to go to work. I know. This is what I look like when I go to work at 9 a.m. on a Sunday after a late night and too many Oktoberfests. I had to help decorate for a gala that was taking place that night. I was there for about three and a half hours, and was totally exhausted when I got home.

For lunch, I made the BF and I our first Blue Apron meal. Thyme gnocchi with maitake mushrooms, corn and kale. The BF’s version had brown butter and parmesan. It was so good, and not something I would usually make.

My mom picked me up to do some shopping. I know, more shopping! She had to return something and wanted company.

For dinner, I made another Blue Apron recipe – crispy salmon with orzo, green bean and cucumber salad. It was so so good!

And just like that the weekend was over. I never got to my to do list, but that’s ok. I got to spend time with family, the BF and friends. It was much needed!
